Megha, a senior QA engineer with a passion for lifestyle, fashion, and travel, has become an influencer in her own right with over 20.5K followers on Instagram. Through her platform, she has been able to promote the use of eco-friendly products that are better for the environment and one's health. One of the products that Megha has collaborated with is Riansh's cloth pads that promote well-being during the menstrual cycle.
The cloth pads are made of 100% organic, unbleached Indian cotton and stitched in one piece. The top layer is cotton flannel in an undyed natural cotton color, while the inner layers consist of seven layers of cotton flannel in the same color. The back layer is made of cotton with a leak-proof PUL in a red and white pattern. The pads are designed to close with one nickel-free metal push button and are 30cm in length and 7cm in width when closed.
By promoting the use of cloth pads, Megha has encouraged women to actively protect the planet while improving their menstrual health. Using cloth pads can prevent thousands of tons of non-biodegradable sanitary waste around the world each month, as it takes 500-800 years to decompose a disposable pad.
Additionally, the PUL in the cloth pads will last approximately 75-100 washes or 3-5 years, depending on how frequently a pad is used and how well it is cared for. Overall, Megha's collaboration with Riansh has provided a sustainable solution for menstrual hygiene while promoting the use of eco-friendly products.
