What is Embroidery Art ?
Embroidery is the craft of decorating fabric or other materials using a needle to apply thread or yarn. Embroidery may also incorporate other materials such as pearls, beads, quills, and sequins. In modern days, embroidery is usually seen on caps, hats, coats, overlays, blankets, dress shirts, denim, dresses, stockings, and golf shirts. Embroidery is available with a wide variety of thread or yarn color.
Some of the basic techniques or stitches of the earliest embroidery are chain stitch, buttonhole or blanket stitch, running stitch, satin stitch, cross stitch. Those stitches remain the fundamental techniques of hand embroidery today.

About the Instructor
This is Kasture Shruthi, an aspiring Physiotherapist by profession and an artist by passion. Art to me has always been a therapy as it gets me a sense of calmness. I always created and participated in various art competitions and appreciation was my source of motivation. When I realized that this can be a profession then there was no turning back.
Today I am a self-taught artist working with embroidery, resin, mandalas, calligraphy, crafts and many other art forms. I believe things might get out of fashion but art is always classy and trendy.
